Episode 175 – The Dads of Star Trek
The guys open the show with what they did for Father’s Day. Then they cue into their topics of the Dads in Star Trek. Mack thought there would be a lot more bad dad examples but he was surprised to find so many good ones. They even talk about Rom and Data and how they developed as fathers over time.
Episode 174 – Sci-Fi Books
The guys discuss DT’s oral surgery briefly and his concerns for the Comic Con in Boston which seems to be losing celebrities. Then the guys do a first where they refuse to discuss Star Trek or Star Wars and discuss their favorite Sci-Fi Books and series. Mack cover Alternative history with aliens or if the South won the War. DT give another couple series adding onto the theme and then Mack talks about an alien invasion in a freshly post 9/11 America that felt too Star Trek like.

A very much needed retrospective on the Stargate franchise is done with special guest: Dave Walsh from These Sci-fi Guys! DT moderates as Mack and Dave explore the franchise, what they liked and what they didn’t beginning with the movie all the way through Stargate Origins.
Episode 172 – The Delayed Western in SciFi
The guys are back and are tackling their Western Episode that they tried recording a few weeks before but tech issues stopped that. They go into different sci fi western shows like Brisco County Jr and Firefly. Then they explore different movies like Avatar and Back to the Future 3. And yes, Star Trek is mentioned a few times too.
Episode 171 – The Happy Meal Episode
The guys discuss their Memorial Day weekends. Then they pull a full 180 and venture into Happy or Feel Good moments in Sci-fi. Yes, that moment is there. And Poker is involved in not one but two of them.

The guys are back and Mack is talking about earning his Dad Card by repairing Dry Wall, cutting down a tree in his yard, and bleaching the porch. That last was not a euphemism. Then they get into the reeds and go through the saddest moments in Sci-Fi. They tak about Futurama, Stargate, and more!
Episode 169 – Best and Worst Pilots and Finales Part 2

The guys discuss an article talking about how the media should blame the audience for Star Trek Discovery’s failings and should focus on the writers and producers of a show that was supposed to revive the Star Trek Universe but in reality inhibited it. Then they explore different pilots and finales in Sci-Fi such as Stargate, Picard, and Bad Batch.
Episode 168 – The Bad Batch Season 3
The guys recap their crossover with These Sci-fi Guys and hoe enjoyable it was and hope to interact with them again. Then they get into Season 3 of the Bad Batch. They go over their expectations, their fears and their general thoughts on it. Overall, it was a satisfying ending for a very good show.

The guys go through different recasting ideas of iconic roles such as Picard, Sheridan, and other more minor players.
Special Crossover Event: Those Sci-Fi Guys meets These Sci-Fi Guys
In this special meetup, Those Sc-Fi Guys joins These Sci-Fi Guys. They discuss how they each got their respective shows started and they got involved I. science fiction in the first place. Then they go head to head in a trivia competition. To finish up the guys discuss the Sci-Fi world and character they would love to be and run a draft on their ideal ships and characters team.

The guys open up discussing How DT is having phone issues and why he likes Android over iphone. Mack discusses seeing the Shatner documentary over the weekend. DT describes the High Kings concert he went to. Then they talk about how they are t looking forward to any future sci fi projects coming up. They discuss why and how award panels and executives don’t seem to take scifi/fantasy seriously. They end by going through the last 25 years of Oscar winners and how they don’t reflect much in the way of Scifi.

The guys don’t have any specific topic today. But they delve into their anticipation for Saint Patrick’s Day, their heritages and how they love a good Mexican restaurant. Then they explore the world of Ducktales 2017 and how it honored the original show and fans. This leads to a discussion of how the Star Wars sequel trilogy failed.
Episode 159 – Where to go with Star Trek/Wars
The guys discuss how they would take the current state of Star Trek and Star Wars and where they would go. They talk about a new season for Star Trek Legacy, or an anthonolgy series that changes every year. Then in Star Wars, DT suggests where the Mandalorian Era can go. Mack asks where the franchise can go post sequel trilogy.

The guys take this episode to discuss bad movbies and shows with good premises and how they can be retooled in to great movies. They start off with Andromeda and it’s Star Trek roots then exemplify the original and rebooted Battlestar Galactica. The guys are back. They discuss how Mack got a new puppy and how run down he’s been in the last few weeks. Then they get into different relationships in Sci-fi. Mack wants to delve into the psychological meanings behind a Human marrying a Vulcan or a Klingon whereas DT just wants to decide if the relationships were good or not. In the end, they compromise.
