Episode 97 – What We Would Do With Star Trek
The guys decide to go into how they would develop Star Trek if they were in charge given at any point in the franchise’s history.
Episode 96 – The Avatar Biatch Session
The guys open up with DT’s reluctance on the subject for the show. His attitude regarding Avatar and Mack jumps in on how he hated it the first time around. They discuss how Avatar was a visually stunning film but it was not the extraordinary film that it was made out to be. Mack even calls it a version of the Emperor’s Clothes where the critics called it wonderful despite it not being so because everyone said it was. Either way they both didn’t like the first Avatar and probably wont see the second.
Episode 95 – The Guardians Holiday Special
The guys open with Mack discussing how the holiday season began with his first Christmas party the previous night with his family and neighbors. DT talks about how he will be spending Christmas at the house for the first time. This brings them to discuss the Guardians Holiday Special on Disney Plus and the Guardians Vol 3 Trailer. Then they go on to discuss the value of the cinema experience and how Phase 5 can learn from Phase 4.
Episode 94 – The Plague Episode
The guys open up with DT talking about seeing Wakanda Forever and Mack laments how he doesn’t seem to have the time to see a movie in the theater anymore. This branches into the guys pondering the death of civic groups like Rotary and Elk’s and if we adults now are joining something different instead or if it’s parenting. Then they explore different plagues in Sci-Fi where DT has some unique knowledge.
Episode 93 – The Rise of Andor
The guys open up talking about their Thanksgivings and how this was the first time in bout 18 years DT had celebrated the holiday with his family in his home town. Then they recap the Andor series. The go over the plot, their impressions, and what their thoughts were overall.
Episode 92 – Thanksgiving Sci-Fi
Mack opens up with his lament that there are not many Thanksgiving movies out there other than the tried and true Planes, Trains, and Automobiles and Dutch. But TV is filled with episodes dedicated to the holiday. Mack reads through a list of different Sci-Fi shows that had Thanksgiving at the center of the plot including ALF and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Happy Thanksgiving!
Episode 91 – The Short Series Shot
The guys decide to focus on series that were cut too short for their liking. They focus on shows predominately 1-2 seasons long include Jack of All Trades, Cleopatra 2525 and Brisco County Jr. Ultimately they can agree that Jack of All Trades had the best theme song of all time.

Episode 90 – What if, What If Too?
The guys open up with a discussion on the passing of Kevin Conroy. They go over how influential he was to their appreciation of Batman. To Mack, he was the definitive Batman. Then the two discuss how Sci-Fi history could have been different if certain actors were never chosen for the part or if they cut out early from the role.
Episode 89 – Tales of the Jedi
This episode has the guys discussing Tale of the Jedi. They go through each episode discussing the deeper nuances of these characters involved and how we get to see it fleshed out. We see the birth of Ahsoka and the fall of Dooku and they discuss how that was pulled off in light of us technically knowing the bigger story.
Episode 88 – Political Science Fiction
An Election Night Special! The guys go into how Sci Fi has shown politics in different franchises. Battlestar Galactica where there was election fraud for the greater good, and the Klingons where Worf took the heat to help preserve the Empire. There are lots of cases seeing how politics is represented.
Episode 87 – Lower Decks Season 3 Review
The guys share what they did for Halloween this year. Then they get into the recap and thoughts on Lower Decks Season 3. Mack and DT had some differing opinions and many agreements.
Episode 86 – What If? (But not Marvel)
The show opens up with the guys wondering what CEO’s in big tech companies do vs traditional companies in light of Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter. Mack shares stories of his roommate’s experience while working for Yahoo and the crazy benefits provided thereof. Then they delve into the world of What If in Star Trek and Star Wars, as in What if Discovery was originally set post Nemesis? Then Hijinx ensue.
Episode 85 – Gunn Control
With no specific subject for this episode, they go over the trailers for Secret Invasion, Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania, and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. Then they discuss the ramifications of James Gunn taking over creative control of DC Studios at Warner Bros.
Episode 84- She-Hulked Again
The guys tackle the series of She-Hulk, what they liked and didn’t. For the first time, they can actually agree that the show had lots of promise and while it didn’t execute completely well, it was still and enjoyable watch
Episode 83 – The Shameless Episode
Mack opens up about his excitement in procuring a DVD of the movie Dutch starring Ed O’Neill and Ethan Embry. It has been gone from the streaming internet for the last three years and he finally gave in a bought the physical copy for his posterity. Then they dig into their guilty pleasure movies/shows. Basically terrible movies or shows that they should hate for their terribleness but they absolutely love.
Episode 82 – Those Guys by Midnight
The guys open up with Mack admiring what a family member of DT’s did by going to Walden Pond in Massachusetts over the week and he was jealous. Then they talk about Marvel’s Werewolf by Midnight. They go over their thoughts and some questions about where Phase 4 is headed from here.
Episode 81 – Return to DS9
Mack had finally caught up to the current episodes of Lower Decks. They start the show discussing how Comic-Cons have changed and they didn’t even exist when they were teens locally to how big the Providence Comic Con is now with a lot of A-List talent. Then they discuss the revisit to DS9 in Lower Decks. What they liked and what they wished for. Then they decide what they will talk about next!
Episode 80 – The Guys’ Scary Movies
To welcome in the haunting season, the guys discuss their favorite scary sci-fi/fantasy movies. And yes, Ernest Scared stupid is brought up. Which has a surprising tie in to Killer Clowns from Outer Space!
Episode 79 – The Dangling Plot Thread…
The guys choose this episode to take about big lost plot threads in sci-fi. This goes from the insect invasion in the first season of Star Trek TNG, to why the ZPM locations were ignored in Stargate Atlantis.
Episode 78 – Wonder on Andor
The guys open up discussing DT’s time in Germany when he was sick with Covid and his recovery process. They then talk about the Release date for Deadpool 3 with Hugh Jackman. Then they get into their review of Andor. DT loved it. Mack was surprised with how much he loved it. Then they discuss where the season may go.
