Episode 86 – What If? (But not Marvel)
Khaaaaaaaaannnnnnn!!!!!
The show opens up with the guys wondering what CEO’s in big tech companies do vs traditional companies in light of Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter. Mack shares stories of his roommate’s experience while working for Yahoo and the crazy benefits provided thereof. Then they delve into the world of What If in Star Trek and Star Wars, as in What if Discovery was originally set post Nemesis? Then Hijinx ensue.
Episode 85 – Gunn Control
With no specific subject for this episode, they go over the trailers for Secret Invasion, Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania, and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. Then they discuss the ramifications of James Gunn taking over creative control of DC Studios at Warner Bros.
Episode 84- She-Hulked Again
The guys tackle the series of She-Hulk, what they liked and didn’t. For the first time, they can actually agree that the show had lots of promise and while it didn’t execute completely well, it was still and enjoyable watch
Episode 83 – The Shameless Episode
Mack opens up about his excitement in procuring a DVD of the movie Dutch starring Ed O’Neill and Ethan Embry. It has been gone from the streaming internet for the last three years and he finally gave in a bought the physical copy for his posterity. Then they dig into their guilty pleasure movies/shows. Basically terrible movies or shows that they should hate for their terribleness but they absolutely love.
Episode 82 – Those Guys by Midnight
The guys open up with Mack admiring what a family member of DT’s did by going to Walden Pond in Massachusetts over the week and he was jealous. Then they talk about Marvel’s Werewolf by Midnight. They go over their thoughts and some questions about where Phase 4 is headed from here.
Episode 81 – Return to DS9
Star Trek Lower Decks
Mack had finally caught up to the current episodes of Lower Decks. They start the show discussing how Comic-Cons have changed and they didn’t even exist when they were teens locally to how big the Providence Comic Con is now with a lot of A-List talent. Then they discuss the revisit to DS9 in Lower Decks. What they liked and what they wished for. Then they decide what they will talk about next!
Episode 80 – The Guys’ Scary Movies
Ernest Scared Stupid
To welcome in the haunting season, the guys discuss their favorite scary sci-fi/fantasy movies. And yes, Ernest Scared stupid is brought up. Which has a surprising tie in to Killer Clowns from Outer Space!
Episode 79 – The Dangling Plot Thread…
The guys choose this episode to take about big lost plot threads in sci-fi. This goes from the insect invasion in the first season of Star Trek TNG, to why the ZPM locations were ignored in Stargate Atlantis.
Episode 78 – Wonder on Andor

The guys open up discussing DT’s time in Germany when he was sick with Covid and his recovery process. They then talk about the Release date for Deadpool 3 with Hugh Jackman. Then they get into their review of Andor. DT loved it. Mack was surprised with how much he loved it. Then they discuss where the season may go.
Episode 77 – Thor Love and Dunder?
DT talks to Mack about revisiting New England and Mack discusses the logistics of what such a visit requires which is more than just seeing family. Then the guys tackle Thor: Love and Thunder! Was it great? No. Was it fun? Some of the time. Is it a movie they would rewatch? Up for debate. There were a lot of good things about it and a lot of subtractions about it.
Episode 76 – The Uniform Manage a Troi
It’s Crap…
This is the third episode of the guys talking about uniforms. This time, it’s Nu-Trek. They first discuss DT being able to reclaim his garage from unpacking boxes. Mack talks about his unending battle to reclaim his garage. They then talk about the different uniforms in Nu-Trek and what they like and what they hate. The Consensus: Discovery’s uniforms would have been acceptable at least 30 years after the Picard era. And there would have been no controversy.
Episode 75 – The Uniform Episode Part Deux
Mack is still recovering but tells an interesting story about his dinner in Beverly Hills and dealing with a restaurant patron who seemed to have zero awareness of his surroundings. They then tackle the second part of their uniform exploration analyzing the Mandalorians, The Browncoats from Firefly, and the Star Trek Legacy era. They then realize they will have to head into a part three for Nu-Trek.
Episode 74 – The Uniform Episode
The Original Pilot: Jackets!!!
Mack opens the show with the news he got The Virus while in LA and has been in recovery for the previous week. But he was able to enjoy his time in LA enough to watch John Williams conduct the LA Philharmonic and debut the new Helena’s Theme from the upcoming Indiana Jones movie. DT talks about winding down the summer with the neighborhood. Then they analyze the uniforms of different franchises ranging from The Orville, Babylon 5 and others.
Episode 73 – Those Who Got the Shaft
Mack and DT open up talking about their mutual dislike for pumpkin spice and how the season has begun. They talk about how DT’s daughter is starting school and adjusting to a new life. Mack discloses that as of this recording this is his wedding anniversary and he and the Mrs are going to LA to watch the USC v RICE game and John Williams conduct the LA Philharmonic. Then they get into the characters in Sci-Fi who got the shaft not just in writing, but in development and really true story growth ranging from Star Trek and a mind boggling way The Last Jedi could have been salvaged.
Episode 72 – The Airing of Grievances… AGAIN
The guys devote another episode to things in sci-fi that grinds their gears. Everything from underused and under developed characters, to canon and the hope that The Orville will be renewed again with new information that Mack came across.
Episode 71 – She Hulked
DT opens the show discussing the quiet weekend he had. Mack laments about things in New England he never appreciated but does not that he lives across the continent. Then he goes into how this was the week school started for his kids and his apprehension in his son starting middle school. Then they get into the first episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. They go through their likes, their dislikes and address some of the hate it’s getting which they feel is misplaced.
Episode 70 – It Has Been One Year And We Hated It!
We record on our one year anniversary! The guys reflect on how time has flied, how much they appreciate what the show has done for their lives and what they hope will come of it. Then they discuss different episodes of their least like shows.
Episode 69 – Nice… Duos
Mack is broadcasting from a secret location this episode! The guys discuss CavMan’s vacation and change to unwind with his family. Then they go into legendary duos in Sci-fi and how they were important to the work and in some cases, alternatives to each other.
Episode 68 – Renew The Orville!!!
The guys spend their time reviewing the whole season of the Orville. Their likes and dislikes. Certain episodes that really struck them, and the way if zigged when they thought it would zag. Plus Mack actually is about to cry at the thought that there might not be anymore good sci-fi if this show isn’t renewed.
Episode 67 – The Bad Asses Part Deaux

The guys open up discussing the solemn news of the losses of Nichelle Nichols and Bill Russell. They talk about how Uhura influenced them growing up and new observations made in the Original Series in which she was shown to be empowered especially for the time frame it was filmed. They then lead into other bad ass characters of sci-fi they missed previously and realize they are going to miss more and set up for a third episode.
